About Us

Hey y'all!  Robyn & Kaysin here - we're the teachers behind FlockStar Teachers.  We are both full-time moms, wives, and teachers.  The idea of FlockStar Teachers started after we each completed the National Board Certification process.  We were reflecting on our journey to NBCTs, and the importance of support and encouragement kept coming up.  We knew we would not have been successful without the push from the other; we knew we would have given up without the other's support; we knew we had to have a flock to be successful.  From that conversation, our idea of starting a blog, a TpT store, and so much more began taking shape.  We are so excited you are here to share our journey with us.  We hope you learn something new and can relate to us and our experiences.

Hey!  I'm Robyn!  I am a mom of 2 boys (Dex and Cash), a wife of a banker, and a first grade teacher at a Title I school in Kentucky.  I'm an Early Childhood Generalist, National Board Certified Teacher (#nbct).  Since I'm a teacher leader in my school, I love that I get to help other teachers find ways to lead.  I think the best PD comes from the teacher down the hall - and sometimes that happens be in my own classroom.  Not only do I enjoy helping other teachers grow and learn, I continue to challenge myself and enjoy seeking new professional development opportunities locally and elsewhere.  Honestly, I'm the nerd that loves faculty meetings and PD.  I'm glad you're here and can't wait to grow with you!

Hey there!  I'm Kaysin! I am a mom to an amazing little guy (Jaksin), a wife, and a Middle Childhood Generalist, National Board Certified Teacher at a Title I school in Kentucky.  I believe in empowering my colleagues to lead not only in their classroom, but within our school and beyond.  I love leading professional development opportunities almost as much as I love attending meaningful PD.  Finding ways to boost staff morale is another way that I enjoy leading at my school.  In my classroom, I strive to push my students' during small group instruction, and prepare them to use their own leadership skills daily.  I'm the crazy teacher that genuinely loves talking to my students' families and believe in the power of positive relationships with students and families.  Thanks for swinging by - I can't wait to see where this journey takes us!
